Free Gastric Bypass Surgery in Austin Texas!

Do you want to have a free Gastric Bypass operation? Well, you just need to move to Austin, Texas and work for the Travis County...

The Travis County commissioners approved using county tax dollars to pay for a weight loss surgery for county employees. It will for up to 15 bariatric surgeries per year during a five-year trial. The whole idea of this came about because the county was looking at a way to control health care costs, and 400 Travis County employees are classified as obese. (Read full Story Here)

Another article about this just came out here.

Nancy, you should die naturally. If God wants your boys to live-on without you, he will take care of them. But, please, if you feel you are already dead...go ahead and "let go"--God will be waiting for you. Congratulations!

I am a beautiful female approaching 50 and morbidly obese; my Mother died of obesity problems when she was 53, and my my Brother of the the same, at the age of 54.

With horrible credit due to medical debt because of health issues, and the fact that I am unemployed; I am unable to finance or afford what could be a life saving surgery for me, and would be a head start to a new life that everyone deserves. I currently have been living a more active healthy lifestyle daily for months and months without any progress. Please help, I want to live beyond my mid 50's as far as my health is concerned. I want to be fit and fabulous in my 50's.

I live in Richmond TX, Fort Bend County and if there is any program that can help me, it would be the greatest blessing of health for me.

Fort Bend Family Health Center is affiliated with Gateway to Care, but does not have any Doctors to perform pro-bono work in that field; I can't use the Orthopedic options that are available through Gateway to Care because they want me to lose 100 pounds before doing the surgery on my knee. What a cath 22! I really don't think the surgery on the knee would have to be, if the weight was gone.

I love to walk and be active, but have much pain and difficulty in doing so. I have been obese the majority of my life and want to live the next 50 years of my life being an inspiration to others of all the hard work that will still be left up to me to do for the rest of my life after the Lap-Band Surgery is performed.

My ears, eyes and heart are open to your help and suggestions. ~Deb~

To all who have posted ... my prayers are with you all. I, too, suffer from my overeating, lack of exercise, and resulting morbid obesity (BMI 46).

My insurance doesn't pay for this surgery either, and I don't have the funds ($24,000) to pay for the surgery. So, I know how desperate you all are.

Now, here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to stop feeling sorry for myself. I'm going to stop eating like a lumberjack. I'm going to eat the right foods in moderation ... and, most importantly, I'm going to start moving/exercising.

I am dying ... and I'm killing by self with food. I can either face that fact, or continue to suffer with Type II diabetes, hypertension, sleep apnea, high cholesterol, knee/foot pain, the humility of not being able to fit into seats at the stadium, or not having seatbelts on planes, or in cars, that fit .... ARGGGHHHHH!!!

I want to live to see my grandchildren have children ... I want to be able to walk down the street without people staring at me as if I were some kind of freak ... and to walk with my wife without sweating and gasping for air.

I'm done with killing myself with food. Please pray for me.

To all the lonely people with weight issues out there. You're not alone! I've struggled with my weight my entire life. I just lost my mother who passed away at age 70 on 12/14/2009 due to the terrible and very unfair health care system we have in place. It ended up not mattering how much time I invested fighting the system for her care everyday for the past six years of my life. I became a professional health care advocate for the morbidly obese because I know she was often denied proper care because of her size. In fact I was even told me that my mom's ashes would require a much larger container due to her morbidly obese status, it's not true and her ashes weigh a whopping seven pounds! We must stop the hatred and ignorance that's out there. I miss my mom so much as she was my world. She suffered so much in her life and was judged harshly for being heavy with a high weight of 487lbs and a low weight of 306lbs at the time she passed away. I must tell those who are open to it that there is a no cost self help program called Overeaters Anonymous and my mom and I both found comfort and recovery there. I was personally 327lbs at age 15 and have moderated between 160lbs and 235lbs my entire adult life, it's a continual battle for one's entire life! Love yourselves and the ones around you, your life depends on it! I'll be praying for you all. My mom's name was Phoebe and I know she's with God as she lived her life for us kids. She had unwavering faith in God and she did many kind things and service work for so many people. Take care and God bless you all! Love, jason

I am a 21 year old young woman. I have a BMI of 53 and sadly I am morbidly obese. I have no medical insurance and i have tried it all so I need this operation. I have been dieting heavily and all I have accomplish was a big bill from the ER and a stay at the hospital after fainting and getting really sick because of the lack of nutrients because of the lack of food. Like I said i have done it all, diets excercise, everything! although i must admit the excercise that I used to do before I cant now because i feel like my knees and legs are breaking down on me! Please help me!
