Remember the “Free Gastric Bypass Surgery” plan in Travis County, TX ? Well, it is back in the news, but this time from a member of the Treasurer of the Texas Association of Bariatric Surgeons. And yes, you have guessed it; his point of view is, obviously, focused on the “mistake” the county made in dropping this controversial initiative.

He points out that the cost of obesity to a firm with 1,000 employees is at $285,000 per year. Now, again… The solution is not in handing out free Weight Loss Surgeries all over the place, the answer is in education and promoting a change in lifestyle. (Read Here)
