Study finds that half of Patients Experience Complications
I hate to be on the negative side this time, but I want you to be able to have a whole picture about Gastric Bypass Surgery. I always say, the benefit of the operation is greater than all their risks combined. But you need to know and get involved with the other side.
Here is an extensive and very informative article by the LA Times about a study that shows how important it is for patients to consider the potential complications.
Visit also my “Medical Issues” category; there I have grouped very important information about complications after WLS.
I had the surgery 3 1/2 years ago. I have experienced almost all the different scenerios (other than blindness). I am a snacker. I lost 140lbs. I gained 20 of it back. Some of it was due to Cortisone shots. Does anyone know what the averge weight gain is after you stablize?
