Gastric Bypass and Neuropathy
Hmm… I am starting to worry; this topic is popping up again, not only in my mind, but also in some blogs and media: Neuropathy and Gastric Bypass Surgery. This blog post is an interesting real life experience post about this irreversible disease. Although I was aware of this possible side effect as I wrote in this post, it is now that I am more alert than ever, because new studies are starting to emerge with not so good news.
I had Gastric Bypass Surgery 10 months ago & started experiencing non-relenting neuropathy symptoms on the sole of my feet and toes. I finally asked my Physician for a B-12 level blood test & it showed my B-12 was too high. She scaled my dose down to every other day & the neuropathy completely went away. It can be excruciatingly painful and kept me awake most of the night. You have to be proactive in all of your health care issues-don't just rely on your Dr..

I came across your blog while looking for information regarding telogen effluvium. I was wondering if your hair has returned to normal? Thank you.
